Vivid purple, way less smell and low tendency to warp
This stuff is awesome. I’ll spare you the monotony of pictures of packaging and desiccant. It’s flashforge….It came in a nice box, sealed, and most importantly, fixed their spool winding issues it appears like some of us saw with burnt titanium. so it’s spooled to industry standard. Half a spool down with no issues with kinks or knots crossovers etc and don’t expect any based on what I can see remaining.Purple ABS Pro is a modified abs, so it does have some trade offs with classic abs but not giving me an instant headache from the smell is a win. Don’t get me wrong there’s still a smell if you think hard about it but with the modified abs I find if it smells, you MAY be overcooking it. It’s quite a bit lighter color than the picture but at the same time if it sits against certain other colors the shade seems to alter slightly. It’s a very strong shade of purple with a magenta/pink hue in the mix. It’s decently strong and holds up to the heat well. It prints smooth through a variety of temps with no discernible difference in quality or stringing but seems to have better layer adhesion post print around 230c mark with a Bed temp of 90. As in printing at 230 it holds and doesn’t show signs over over or under temp and doesn’t delam. 120mm/s with no issues and could go faster but layer adhesion and strength may suffer. As far as warping, sure, it CAN warp on you if you don’t minimize the airflow around it but an enclosure to help with warping wasn’t needed as once it sticks to the bed it’s stuck. It does appear slightly more brittle than abs classic but that’s part of the trade off of less smelly and easier printing and I’ll gladly take it.Tl:dr it’s a beautiful color, less smell, slightly less strength than abs classic, low warping tendency, consistent diameter, smooth printing and one of the most vivid purples I’ve seen yet albeit slightly different than the picture.

So I tried the burnt titanium PETG, and loved the look so much I decided to try another color. The black arrived super glossy.. but oh how I struggled to make it stick, as this was only my 2nd time to work with PETG. I was using a Creality PC magnetic steel spring bed sheet that works great on everything. But not this glossy stuff, after many tries.. I figured it out. I needed more heat and more bed adhesion.
Perfectly printed at nozzle 240C, Bed 80C, 15% Fan, slow speed 35% and the addition of painters tape then glue stick to my printer bed and perfection! No lines, the filament just melted into the next line beautifully. Can’t wait to do more.

I was afraid to use a glue stick on my PC sheet, as I wasn’t sure how compatible it was. But I’d bet a glass bed with adhesive would work very well, just didn’t want to mess with changing it out every time I switched filament types. Anyway… a slow 7 hours later

Some of my favorite petg. If it prints wrong, it's a great indicator that you need to adjust your printer. Once you dial things in, it can print at decent speeds, well above the recommended. The machine is very well packaged, and showed up two days earlier than expected. Set up was easy, nothing difficult at all. The supplied PLA filament is just enough to do a couple of test prints, and because it's not on a spool, is a royal pain to keep detangled.
The test prints using the supplied PLA and built in parts went very well.
My issues come down to software. Flashforge documentation recommends the Orca Slice software, which seems to be included on a USB stick along with the configuration file that is supposed to imported once the software is installed.
Of course no USB stick, so I had to find the software on the mfg website, however no configuration file to be found, so I can only print with PLA for the time being. Sent an email to Flashforge asking for the config file, but no response as of yet.
The nice thing about the Orca Slice is that it does not have to connected to the printer to be able to create a gcode file, which is great as my machine not in a place that can be directly connected to a PC.
The reason I mention this is that the other recommended (on Flash Forge's website) slicing option is Flashpoint 5, which seems to be very useful, as long as you can connect directly to the 3d printer.
All in all, the printer does a really nice job for the price, and is great for beginners (like me) once you figure out the software issues.

I'm a big fan of Flashforge's filaments, everything from basic black PLA, to burnt titanium PLA/PETG, to their silk PLAs, to this ASA filament. I have a number of their rolls and have never had an issue with any of them.

This was my first ASA/ABS print ever. There was a minor smell printing on my Bambu X1C carbon, and I did run the exhaust fan with the carbon filter for a good 10 minutes before pulling it off, but overall nothing too crazy like the horror stories I had heard.

The color came out exactly like the pictures, which most of Flashforge's filament pictures do unlike competitors, so I was very happy that my Bambu Lab mouse came out looking like it did.

The only thing I will say is at the end of the print the bottom of the mouse (if you stand it straight up with the finger buttons in the air) did warp a little. It looked like that happened after I took it off the build plate which is a new one on me. This may be normal for ASA, or maybe I should have let it sit on the build plate longer and cool down (again I did wait 10 minutes before taking it off to vent and clean some of the fumes).

Anyway I wouldn't hesitate to buy another ASA firmament from Flashforge.

Oh wow where does one start? I was really excited for this roll of filament as I purchased a roll of this in black and another in a dark blue for a specific project. The box was in great shape, sturdy, and had great information on it. The reel was packed in a nice tight un-resealable bag. Reel also has product type PETG Pro and the required printing temp range on it, which is all shown in the video I uploaded. I went to print this to get the settings dialed in and then is when reality set in. No matter what temp I tried this filament would not print or would clog the extruder. I switched machines from my trusted Ender 3 V2, to a K1 Max, and finally to my Bambu printer and it would not print on any of them. So after cleaning and unclogging three machines and not being able to extrude anything beyond about 15mm, we gave up and will be returning this along with the other reel. On a positive note, what did extrude did stick well which is why I gave it three stars. I would understand if I was a novice and did not know what I was doing that it could be my issue, but with currently over 75 rolls of filaments on hand and two machines running PETG 24x7 this is not the case. Sorry Flashforge but this is no bueno and I was really hoping that it would be so we could purchase more from you.

1.0 out of 5 stars Highly Disappointed

Oh wow where does one start? I was really excited for this roll of filament as I purchased a roll of this in black and another in a dark blue for a specific project. Color: Petg Pro Burnt TitaniumVerified Purchase
I love the color... but I found the adhesion poor... Burned through a lot of filament with parts lifting and having to re-do. I have not had this issue with other PETG filaments... I played with settings but still had issues.

I do love the color though. It is what comes with the 5M so I wanted to try the PETG in the same color to print out some enclosure parts. I ran out since I had to reprint... Not sure I would re-buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars ASA is a fantastic deal, the sparkle elements even flow nicely through 0.4mm hotend

Color: Asa Sparkle Sky BlueVerified Purchase
After using the FF PLA in the past and being happy with it I actually came back and bought some of the flashforge ASA Blue Sparkle too, to supplement my plain white ASA. I was really pleased with how it performed in my bambu p1s. The specific blue colour is a little bit of an acquired taste, but the addition of the gentle sparkle particles really picks it up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Prints really well!
Reviewed in Canada on January 9, 2024
Color: Asa BlackVerified Purchase
Easy to use, the recommended settings were accurate and it printed well right away. It prints better than the poly maker stuff I was using. No lifting no uneven extrusion. As you can see in the pic the parts look great :)

I would definitely recommend this ASA and will buy it again. More colours would be nice but I mostly use black and white anyways.

5.0 out of 5 stars Prints fine

About white ASA, it contracts but works out fine for me with -0.25mm horizontal expansion in Cura. The bed adhesion is good at preheated bet at 100C. Without preheat, it wraps.
